^*) Business Central On-Premises and In-the-Cloud share almost the same functionality. However, there may be some restrictions especially in the cloud version.

^**) When the "Live Data Preview" option is not available, previewing with data from a database is possible in NAV/BC versions that are capable of exporting a report's dataset result, i.e. all supported versions running the Windows Client.

^***) The way how custom layout handling is supported differs between versions. Due to various technical specifics of an NAV/BC installation, there is no guaranteed functionality for any of the versions at all. Up from Business Central 15, the new layout encapsulation file format for app development is supported by Qucamba Reports but as far as we know today, all of these versions lack of supporting custom layouts deployed along with an app.
